We are really glad you're thinking about coming up. Here are ways to get here:
Bird's eye view of Camden's harbor and downtown

AIRPORT INFO (with Airport code):
In the past, we have found
JetBlue to be the least expensive airline
for travel to Portland. Sometimes flying into Rockland or Augusta (two closest
but smaller airports) can be cheaper than PWM and BGR.
PORTLAND, MAINE (PWM) The majority of those flying will probably arrive at Portland Jetport which is a 1½ hour drive from Camden. Car rental is available from Enterprise, Hertz and Alamo, and Concord Trailways is a lovely local bus company which provides two daily coastal routes including stops in Camden and Lincolnville.
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS (BOS) From Logan International Airport it’s a 4 hour drive north to Camden. It can take a bit longer if traffic is heavy heading north to Maine on a Friday night but a drive along the coast is very scenic. We suggest taking a little extra time to stop along the way.
BANGOR, MAINE (BGR) You can fly into Bangor International Airport which is about 1 ¼ hours north of Camden. Bangor is a less active airport than Portland, and limo, van and bus service to Camden is limited. You can arrange for a rental car from the airport from the same companies as in Portland.
MANCHESTER, NEW HAMSHIRE (MHT) Also available as an airport to fly into is Manchester Airport which is located in Manchester, New Hampshire. Conveniently located adjacent to Interstates 93 & 293, Route 101 and the F.E. Everett Turnpike, in the heart of New England, Manchester Airport is just twenty minutes from the Massachusetts border and about a 2 ½ - 3 hour drive to Camden. Southwest Airlines sometimes has great deals here.
AUGUSTA, MAINE (AUG) The Augusta State Airport, while owned by the State of Maine, is managed and operated by the City of Augusta. The Augusta Airport plays a vital role in connecting Augusta to other Maine locations and to the Northeast. Regular scheduled passenger service to and from Boston is provided by USAirways Express, operated by Colgan Air, an independent regional airline. Augusta is about 45 minutes – 1 hour from Camden/Lincolnville.
ROCKLAND, MAINE (RKD) Connections with Boston are available through Knox County Regional Airport via Colgan (Ha! It has my name in it!) Air/Telford Aviation, an affiliate of US Air , 800.428.4322. You should arrange for rental car in advance. Taxis are usually available with a phone call, and a cab ride from the airport to Camden Harbor costs about $25. Schooner Bay Taxi has a fleet of Toyota Hybrids!

Maine Interstate Changes (Revised spring 2004) The entire length of the Maine Turnpike from Kittery to Augusta, Maine via Lewiston (an inland route) is now designated I-95. Also, the entire section of interstate roadway from Scarborough to Gardiner, Maine via Brunswick (a coastal route) is now designated I-295. Exits and interchanges on both routes have been renumbered to reflect the distances from Kittery at the New Hampshire border.
NORTHBOUND: (From Kittery, Maine):
Follow Route I-95 North (Maine Turnpike) to Exit 44.
Take Route I-295 Northeast toward Portland, Freeport, Brunswick.
Take Exit 28 and follow coastal Route 1 northbound.
To save about half an hour, take Maine Route 90 at the flashing yellow traffic signal in Warren. Route 90 meets Route 1 again in Camden. Take a left at the traffic light there, and you’ve only got a few miles to go. (Note that if you miss the turn in Warren and stay on Route 1, you’ll go through downtown Thomaston and Rockland, but you’ll get here nevertheless.)

If your lodging is in Lincolnville, drive slowly through downtown Camden and stay on Route 1 for several more miles.
Please note: Maine law requires vehicles to stop for pedestrians within any part of a marked crosswalk that is not regulated by a traffic control device. When you’re walking in Camden, we suggest that you stop at the curb, wait until traffic stops for you and then follow the local tradition of a quick and friendly wave for the driver.
